For long distance tourers and bikepackers, Velo Club Mumbles is situated directly on National Cycle Route 4, running from London to Fishguard. Also part of Eurovelo 1, the Atlantic Coast Route, which runs from the tip of Norway through Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Cornwall, France to southern Spain and Portugal

Run by cyclists for cyclists, Velo Club Mumbles has everything for bikepackers,  cycle tourers, mountain bikers, those who fancy a bit of gravel or roadies coming to test themselves on the hills and mountains of South and Mid-Wales.

Mountain Biking. If fatter wheels are your thing, we are located about a mile from the trails at Clyne and a short trip to off road routes on Gower. Afan Bike Park, the fastest growing mountain bike area in Britain, with its 130km of trails is about 30km away

Secure bike storage, bike wash, tools, big breakfast , cake, great coffee, energy bars and gels, post ride beers;  packed lunches and evening meals if requested.

Local knowledge and secret tips  on the best rides around. See our ROUTES page for gpx files of the best road biking climbs in South and Mid Wales  - the Black Mountains, Bwlch, Rhigos, Bryn Du, and the Brecon Beacons are all with in a day's ride from home

If you fancy something to read in your downtime please peruse our extensive cycling library built up over the years. Something for everyone, ranging from racing legends  like Tim Krabbe's 'The Rider', 'Mountains according to G' to Dervla Murphy's bikepacking classic 'Full Tilt 'to magazines such as Rouleur and Mondial , if its got pages and has cycling in it we probably have it to read

Sometimes you're the hammer, sometimes you're the nail.
